By accessing or using KnowMe.cv ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any updates to these terms.

2. Description of Service

KnowMe.cv is a platform that allows users to create professional portfolio webpages from their resume data. The Service includes resume parsing, template selection, customization tools, publishing, custom domain configuration, analytics, and AI-powered features.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service.

4. User Content

You retain all ownership rights to the content you upload, including resumes, text, images, and other materials ("User Content"). By uploading User Content, you grant KnowMe.cv a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

You represent that you have all necessary rights to the content you upload and that your content does not violate any third party's intellectual property or other rights.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Upload content that is defamatory, obscene, fraudulent, or infringes on others' rights
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Use the Service to send unsolicited communications or spam

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Certain features require a paid subscription (Pro or Premium plans). Subscriptions are billed annually. Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are provided at our discretion.

7. Free Plan

The free Starter plan provides limited features including one published page with free templates. Free plan pages may include a "Built with KnowMe.cv" badge. The free plan may be modified or discontinued at any time.

8. Custom Domains

Users on eligible plans may connect custom domain names to their pages. You are responsible for domain registration, DNS configuration, and compliance with your domain registrar's terms. KnowMe.cv is not responsible for domain availability or DNS propagation delays.

9. AI-Powered Features

The Service uses artificial intelligence to parse resumes, generate content suggestions, and process profile images. AI-generated content is provided as-is and may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and editing all AI-generated content before publishing. AI-processed images are derivative works created from your uploaded photos.

10. Analytics and Data Collection

The Service provides analytics for published pages, including page views, visitor geography, and interaction tracking. Analytics are cookie-free and privacy-respecting. We collect only aggregate, anonymized visitor data. See our Privacy Policy for details.

11. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, templates, code, and branding, is owned by KnowMe.cv and protected by intellectual property laws. Templates are licensed for use within the Service only and may not be extracted, copied, or redistributed.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your published pages will be taken offline. We may retain backup copies of your data for a reasonable period as required by law.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We are not responsible for any loss of data, revenue, or opportunities arising from your use of the Service.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KnowMe.cv shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless KnowMe.cv, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these terms.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

17. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if necessary, through binding arbitration.
